1.5 Accepted & Prohibited Payment Methods
Remitbee supports a variety of secure and convenient payment methods for funding transactions:
Important Notes:
- Interac e-Transfer®- You can fund your transactions by sending an Interac e-Transfer from your Canadian bank account. To ensure timely processing, you must follow the instructions provided during the payment process carefully. Any excess funds will remain in your Remitbee account for future use. Please note that incorrect e-Transfer details or delays in release from your bank may cause processing delays. Remitbee is not liable for delays caused by incorrect information or bank-side issues.
- Bill Payment via Online Banking- You can pay using bill payment offered at a participating bank. Note that there is a delay of up to 72 hours for the funds to be sent and received by us. We are not responsible for any additional delays that may occur. Once the funds have been received and released, we will process the transaction;
- Debit Cards (Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit)- You must use only one account; no third-party account can be used. If you use more than one account, the transaction will be canceled, and the funds will be returned to the original account. We are not responsible for any loss or discrepancy;
- Pre-authorized Debit (PAD)By entering your Payment Method information into your account’s payment profile, you authorize us to debit your Payment Method for charges relating to your use of the Service (“PAD authorization”). This PAD authorization constitutes your agreement and authorization for us to debit your Payment Method and is effective as of the date you provide us with your Payment Method information. You acknowledge that this is a Personal PAD authorization drawn for the payment of goods or services related to your personal, household, or consumer activity. You warrant to us on a continuing basis that all persons whose consent to debit the Payment Method agree to the terms of this Agreement and that the Payment Method information provided by you is accurate and complete. This authorization shall apply to any Payment Method entered into your payment profile, and you authorize us to debit your Payment Method for all amounts owed to us from time to time for your use of the Service, including the Transaction Amount and any Service Fees;
- Interac OnlineThis method allows you to send funds directly from your personal or business Canadian bank account to Remitbee via your financial institution’s online banking platform. To successfully fund a transaction using Interac e-Transfer®, you must follow the instructions provided by Remitbee during the payment process. These instructions will include the designated recipient email address, a specific security question and answer (if required), and a unique reference code that must be included in the message or notes section of your e-Transfer. Additionally, Remitbee’s Interac e-Transfer® accounts typically support Auto-deposit. This means that once you initiate a transfer, the funds are automatically received without requiring further action by Remitbee. However, some financial institutions may not recognize Auto-deposit in certain instances. If prompted to enter a security question and answer, you must use the exact details provided to you during your payment instructions. The standard processing time for Interac e-Transfers is between one (1) to four (4) hours from the time the funds are sent, assuming all payment instructions are correctly followed and no additional verification is required. Transfers initiated outside of standard banking hours, such as on weekends or statutory holidays, may take longer to process. Once Remitbee receives and matches your Interac e-Transfer® to your transaction, the funds will either be credited directly to your recipient, if your transaction is in progress, or temporarily recorded in your Remitbee wallet as a point-of-payment tool. The wallet is not a deposit account and cannot be used to store funds. Customers are required to fund the wallet only with the exact amount needed for a transaction, and unused funds are automatically returned to the original payment method.
Important Notes:
- Credit Card Usage Restriction- While credit cards are not accepted for funding Money Transfer or Currency Exchange transactions, they are accepted for the following services:
- Mobile Top-Ups
- eSIM Purchases
- Gift Card Purchases
- International Bill Payments
- When using a credit card for these services, the card must be issued by a recognized financial institution and be in the name of the verified Remitbee account holder. Remitbee reserves the right to request additional verification for any credit card-funded transaction, particularly those that are high-value or deemed high-risk.
- Ownership of Payment Instrument- All payment methods used to fund your Remitbee transactions must be owned by and registered to the verified account holder. Payments made using third-party bank accounts, debit cards, or credit cards are strictly prohibited.
- Verification Triggers and Processing Delays- Certain payment methods or transaction patterns may trigger compliance reviews or risk assessments, especially in the following situations:
- High-value or unusually frequent transactions.

- Payment instruments from regions flagged as high-risk.
- Incomplete or inconsistent account information.

4.2 Investigations and Account Review
Remitbee takes the integrity of its platform seriously. We monitor for patterns of activity that could suggest fraud, misuse, or violations of our Terms and Conditions. If unusual behavior is detected, we may initiate a review to protect both the user and the system.

We always aim to approach these matters transparently and in good faith. If your account has been flagged and you believe it was in error, we encourage you to reach out to our support team so we can work with you to resolve the situation.

6.0 Prohibition on Lending Payment Methods Across Multiple Accounts
6.1 Prohibited Lending and Sharing of Payment Methods
Users are strictly prohibited from lending, sharing, or allowing their personal bank accounts, debit cards, credit cards, or any other payment methods to be used across multiple Remitbee accounts. Each user must use their own registered and verified payment method to conduct transactions on the platform. Sharing financial instruments between accounts increases the risk of fraud, unauthorized transactions, and money laundering activities, which violates Remitbee’s compliance policies, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) in Canada.
If a user is found to have engaged in the lending or unauthorized sharing of a payment method, Remitbee reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate all associated accounts, freeze transactions, and initiate further investigative actions. In addition, Remitbee may report the violation to FINTRAC, the user’s financial institution, and other relevant regulatory bodies, which may result in further legal or financial consequences. Users who violate this provision may also be required to provide additional verification documents or explanations before their account can be reinstated.
If you are found to be involved in such activity, you must immediately report it to Remitbee’s Customer Care Team.
